Drives

The LUVO rotor is driven by one or two coupled gear motors to protect itself in the event of failure of one gear motor. In the case of a drive with two gear motors, one gear motor works (which is clutched) and the other one is driven or both work. We also offer an improved system of two gearmotors working interchangeably and switching automatically if a failure is detected in working gearmotor. The revolutions from the gear motor to the rotor (1-3 rpm) are transmitted by the drive wheel mounted on the output shaft of the gear motor and the finger ring mounted on the rotor.

Due to the large mass of the rotor, we also offer the installation of a soft start system, which prevents engine overload when starting LUVO.
